About this product
A workhorse export chilli prized across the Middle East and South-East Asia for its consistent colour and balanced heat. Cultivated in the dryland belts of Andhra Pradesh and northern Karnataka, harvested manually, and yard-dried over 8–10 days to lock in deep crimson colour values.
Flavour profile
Smoky, earthy heat with a clean citrus finish. The Sannam strain delivers moderate pungency while Teja brings the higher SHU range. Pods are typically 4–6 cm long with 2–4 mm stems intact.
Common uses
Whole-pod tempering, chilli-paste production, ground chilli powder, oleoresin extraction, and pickle blends. A staple input for spice-trading houses supplying retail and HoReCa channels.
